Dear LHCb Open Data Team,
I am an independent researcher testing a theoretical prediction correlating CP violation phases with baryon internal structure factors. I previously contacted opendata-support@cern.ch (20 January 2026) regarding access to the dataset used in:
-
Nature (2025), “Observation of charge-parity symmetry breaking in baryon decays”
-
DOI: 10.1038/s41586-025-09119-3
-
Specifically: Lambda_b^0 → p K pi pi decay data
My goal is to test whether CP asymmetry parameters correlate with predicted quark‑pattern structure factors
eta = 4 n_L n_B / (n_L + n_B)^2
across different baryon species, as part of a pre‑publication validation of a holographic force‑unification framework (papers in preparation for Physical Review D).
I would be grateful for guidance on:
-
Whether the specific Lambda_b^0 → p K pi pi dataset is available (or planned to be made available) via the CERN Open Data Portal.
-
If so, how best to access the relevant ntuples or reduced datasets suitable for CP‑violation and angular‑analysis studies.
-
Any preferred citation or acknowledgement requirements for using these data in an independent analysis.

Many thanks for any assistance you can provide, and for your work in making these datasets accessible to the community.
Best regards,
Bill Butler
