Missing ROOT files

Good day!

I tried accessing the MC simulation processes from electroweak boson nominal samples (link)

  • mc20_13TeV_MC_Sh_2214_Ztautau_maxHTpTV2_BFilter
  • mc20_13TeV_MC_Sh_2214_Ztautau_maxHTpTV2_CFilterBVeto
  • mc20_13TeV_MC_Sh_2214_Ztautau_maxHTpTV2_CVetoBVeto

For some reason the root files is empty? I have these error when I try to access them

Error in <TNetXNGFile::Open>: [ERROR] Server responded with an error: [3011] Unable to open file /eos/opendata/atlas/rucio/mc20_13TeV/DAOD_PHYSLITE.37865857._000038.pool.root.1; No such file or directory

I tested it for other nominal samples and they work fine so it was not an internet problem. I also used SWAN to check in case it was a device problem.

Is there another link in which I can access these samples?

Thank you!

Hi @fjumawan ,

Sorry for the delay, and sorry also for the poor experience with these three samples. There was an issue with their deployment, so some of the ROOT files needed to be removed. There are still a fair few there, but some of the URLs on that DOI are indeed missing. If you’d like to use atlasopenmagic:

https://opendata.atlas.cern/docs/atlasopenmagic

which we highly recommend for working with our open data samples, then you should get a list of all the working files. We’re discussing with the open data team the best way to update the ‘central’ DOIs to avoid confusion, but this might take a moment longer.

Cheers,

Zach
